Former Georgia third baseman and closer Aaron Schunk was named the winner of the John Olerud Award on Thursday morning. The honor is given annually to the best two-way player in college baseball. Schunk is the first Bulldog to win the Olerud Award. Continue reading

Eight Georgia baseball players were selected in the 2019 MLB Draft this past week, and several of those chosen have already made a decision about their future. Shortstop Cam Shepherd and outfielder Riley King both already announced their return to Athens for next season. Continue reading

ATHENS, Ga. — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the No. 5 Georgia baseball team defeated No. 24 Clemson by a score of 3-2. It took 20 innings, 576 pitches, appearances in the game from 23 Bulldogs players, and a total of six hours and 33 minutes, but when all was said and done, Connor Tate singled to left field to score Tucker Maxwell for the game-winning run in the longest game in Georgia baseball history. The Georgia baseball team completed their second consecutive three-game series sweep on Sunday with a 12-5 victory in the second game of their doubleheader against the UMass Lowell River Hawks. After defeating the Dayton Flyers last weekend, the Bulldogs are 6-0 on the season and have answered several questions along the way. Continue reading
