During the summer of 2020, I worked as a media intern for the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) in Southern Pines, North Carolina. With the CGA, I traveled around the Carolinas, helping put on amateur golf tournaments for males and females of all ages. This was especially challenging given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, presenting obstacles both on the operations and media side of things. On a daily basis, I took photos of players out on the course, conducted interviews with leaders and wrote recaps of the round once the action was complete. Throughout the summer, work of mine was published on AmateurGolf.com, in local newspapers, online at CarolinasGolf.org among other places.
