In my first season covering Georgia for On3 Sports, the Bulldogs went 12-0 in the regular season and played for the SEC Championship Game as the top-ranked team in the land. After that, it was an appearance in the College Football Playoffs. While it’s been short in time, there’s been no shortage of news to report on. The question of who will be Georgia’s starting quarterback against UAB has now been answered. With JT Daniels limited due to an upper-body injury, Stetson Bennett will get the start for Kirby Smart and company according to the starting lineups announced on the Sanford Stadium video board. Kirby Smart updated the health of his Georgia Bulldogs on Monday during his regularly scheduled weekly presser. Of course, the attention was primarily on JT Daniels, who missed Saturday’s 56-7 win over UAB, and what his status is going forward. According to Smart, Daniels continues to improve, but his status for return remains up in the air. Continue reading

The SEC announced their players of the week on Monday, and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers took home the conference’s recognition as Freshman of the Week. Against Vanderbilt this past weekend, Bowers caught four passes for 69 yards, both team-highs. He found the end zone twice through the air. Bowers also had one rush on a jet sweep, taking that 12-yards to the house for seven. Continue reading

Georgia’s secondary is going to be down yet another healthy body for the rest of the season. Sources have confirmed to DawgsHQ that junior defensive back Tykee Smith tore his ACL in practice this week. The injury will, of course, require surgery. Continue reading
